Legal and Policy Information
The 17Թ Foundation (dba “The 17Թ Foundation & Alumni Association”) is an independent 17Թ nonprofit corporation governed by a volunteer board of directors and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a public charity under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation is committed to strengthening the 17Թ (“USD”), a legally separate entity, through charitable support and alumni engagement. The Foundation serves as the preferred repository for all charitable gifts offered for the benefit of USD, and such contributions are generally tax-deductible to the extent provided by law. From time to time, strictly as a courtesy and resource to friends, alumni, and donors, select Foundation policies may be provided at this site. Such policies are subject to periodic modifications, which may not be reflected on this site.
