Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and goal-driven Leadership Annual Giving Officer to join our team. This position is responsible for securing leadership-level annual gifts by engaging alumni, community members and other supporters of USD through personalized outreach and donor-focused strategies.
The role is based in Vermillion or Sioux Falls, with flexibility for a hybrid work setting. Travel is required. This position is not eligible for remote work outside the greater Vermillion or Sioux Falls areas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to identify, engage and solicit leadership annual giving donors.
- Manage a portfolio of prospects with regular in-person, phone and digital engagement.
- Conduct discovery visits to assess donor interest, capacity and readiness to give.
- Create personalized cultivation and solicitation plans, using a m ix or traditional and digital tactics.
- Maintain a high volume of daily outreach through phone, email and social media.
- Collaborate with annual giving, marketing a stewardship teams to align outreach strategies.
- Track and document all constituent interactions in the donor database.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills, Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or a related field.
- Experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, communications or higher education preferred.
- Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
Salary Range: $45,000 to $55,000, based on experience.
